IMPERSONAL CONSTRUCTIONS IN THE LEGAL TEXT IN FRENCH
Abstract
By limiting the opportunities for the agent to be expressed, impersonal constructions in the legal text provide implementation of the basic function of this type of text - changing people's behavior through the application of the norm. The action of law requires a high degree of objectivity and unconditional obedience to the authority of the institution. Of particular interest are structures that combine impersonal forms with the passive voice – these constructions depend on many semantic and syntactic factors.
