THE TIED UP BALLOON AND ANGEL BABY. BINKA ZHELYAZKOVA AND MARRAN GOSOV`S FILMS IN CZECHOSLOVAK RECEPTION
Abstract
The following paper focuses on Binka Zhelyazkova`s film The Tied Up Balloon and Marran Gosov`s Angel Baby released in Czechoslovakia in 1968. The analysis of their reception in Czechoslovak press could refer to the general atmosphere at the time of the political and cultural liberalization during the Prague Spring. The analysis also could be a probe into the process of the so called normalization – a restrictive period following the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia in August 1968.
