Abstract

This article studies the biblical citations in the Book of Gregory Tsamblak – „Sermon for the Deceased“, the function they have had and the way they have been cited. The aim of this study is to define the main preferences of using the biblical citations, the differences between the original biblical texts used by Tsamblak and the quoted sections included in thе sermon as well as the purposes of the author for changing the biblical text.
