Abstract

The paper focuses on the E. T. A. Hoffmann`s reception in Bulgaria: translations, adaptations, interpretations, comments, valuations. The paper pays attention to the relation between the reception setting and the political background across a broad temporal expanse – from the first editions of E. T. A. Hoffmann` works in Bulgaria to the present.
