VARIATIONS ON THE THEME OF DEATH IN THE POETRY OF KONSTANTIN PAVLOV
Abstract
The theme of death which is steadily present in the poetry of Konstantin Pavlov sets a wide range of receptive opportunities and reveals essential characteristics of his poetic world. The object of consideration in this text are the specific variants in which the theme is realized. It is conceivable as a sanction and as a way of defending personal liberty. Inscribed into modern man’s quest for self-establishment, death unfolds as both a tedious ritual and a desired final.
