DEATH IN EMILIAN STANEV’S ANIMALIST PROSE FICTION – AN OBSERVATION
Abstract
In, and via his meeting with, death the animal hero in Emilian Stanev’s animalist prose fiction transforms from something “silent”, enclosed in his own nature, into something “speaking” to, and about, humans. It turns into an other, different, way of understanding our essence, of perceiving the secrets of our own existence – we thus gain an opportunity to understand not only what we are, but also what we can be.
