LOANWORDS OF TURKISH ORIGIN IN THE CONTERMPORARY GREEK PRESS
Abstract
The paper aims at presenting the contemporary state of the lexical elements of Turkish origin in the Greek press on material from the newspapers „Kathimerini“, „To Vima“ and „Ta Nea“. It discusses their status, frequency, stylistic nuances and connotation. Parallels with the reception of Turkish words in Bulgarian language are drawn.
