AREAL CHARACTERISTICS OF NAMES FROM THE CULINARY LEXIS IN THE BULGARIAN DIALECTS IN A SLAVONIC PERSPECTIVE
Abstract
The article presents names of the culinary terminology in the Bulgarian dialects in a Slavonic perspective. The Bulgarian material is analyzed in a Slavonic context, describing the areas of distribution of culinary names in the Bulgarian dialects and in other Slavic dialects. Some maps of the Slavic Linguistic Atlas (OLA) and the Bulgarian Dialectic Atlas (Generalized volume) are analyzed. The relationship of the Bulgarian dialects with the three groups of Slavic dialects – East Slavic, West Slavic and South Slavic, as well as the place of the Bulgarian dialects in the Slavic language family is investigated.
