| dc.description.abstract | The article deals with the 20th anniversary of Ukrainian language and literature academic program in Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Zagreb State University. The social and academic status of Ukrainian language is compared with the status of Russian language, lectures of which are held since 1874. The comparison includes following sociolinguistic factors: usage of
