LEXICAL COMPARISON OF THE ZOGRAPH DRAFT TO THE EARLY COPIES OF PAISII'S HISTORY

Abstract

The article presents linguistic proof of the phonetic, morphological and lexical characteristics of three texts from Paisii Hilendarski’s Slavonic-Bulgarian History which are closest to Paisii’s original. The contrastive analysis describes a curious picture of mixing of Church-Slavonic rules of language with West-Bulgarian dialect features from Samokov region.
