Abstract
The article is the first French-language essay on the creativity of a forgotten Russian-French writer, Sophie de Ségur's niece Lidia Andreevna Rostopchina (1838-1915). The interaction of various literary traditions in her novels and dramaturgy is considered. Particular attention is paid to her writings “The Fading Starˮ, “Yvonne Three Starsˮ, “Irinaˮ and “Fidelity to Gontranˮ, as well as the connection of Rostopchina's creativity with popular literature and romantic prose.
