ON THE BULGARIAN RELATIVE RESULTATIVE FUTURE AND ITS BULGARIAN AND CZECH FUNCTIONAL EQUIVALENTS
Abstract
The subject matter of the paper are instances of competition between different linguistic means of expression of the complex content ‘relative resultative sequence’ in Bulgarian and grammatical asymmetry between the Bulgarian language and the Czech language in this area of verbal variation. The report examines word forms of indicative relative resultative future in Bulgarian as well as some of their functional equivalents in the Bulgarian language, and mostly in the Czech language. The purpose of the paper is to study the theoretical grounds for choosing one solution or another in the translation of the analysed verbal forms from Bulgarian in Czech.
