CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS IN THE VITA OF SAINT GEORGE THE NEW MARTYR OF SOFIA. A SURVEY OF THE NOMINAL SYSTEM

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to examine the anthroponyms used in Vita of Saint George the New Martyr of Sofia. We examine some orthographic and phonetic features of the given names. We also try to classify the proper names according to their origin. We point out some very specific features of the given work and make some historical references very important for the proper understanding of the vita.
