MECHANISM OF PERSONIFICATION AND SPIRITUALIZATION IN BULGARIAN LITERATURE

Abstract

The current paper examines the mechanism by means of which personification and spiritualization in Bulgarian literature are achieved. We have proven with a lot of examples that the different levels – phonetic, lexical, morphological and syntactic interact to build up those literary devices. Some observations are included about the function of the category of gender in connection with those devices.
