dc.description.abstractThe paper discusses the alternative that the ideological and compositionimage system of the key scenes in „The Adolescent“ by Dostoevsky have been inspired by, and originate from, iconographic models of the church art of painting. For example, some of the scenes with the greatest structural significance in the novel are the scenes of the „Presentation of the Blessed Virgin“ and „Candlemas“, where the text reproduces in an artistic way the presentation of the human soul to God.en_US
