A POSSIBLE APPROACH TO REVEALING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOVKOV AND SADOVEANU
Abstract
This article contributes to the debate on the similarities and differences between Yovkov’s and Sadoveanu’s fiction. It substantiates the thesis that Yovkov’s work is genuinely original, even though it does incorporate certain literary images and patterns first developed by Sadoveanu. The main argument of the article is that the two authors are diametrically opposed along the laminarturbulent dichotomy of narration.
