THE ROLE OF LEXICAL CONSTRUCTIONS IN EXPRESSING TEMPORALITY IN BULGARIAN AND POLISH

Abstract

This paper focuses on certain aspects of the relationship between the grammatical meanings of tense of the verb with the lexical meaning of some temporal modifiers on the basics of material from Bulgarian and Polish. Special attention has been paid to the verbal phrases beginning with the adverbs sega „now“, togava „then“ and veche „already“ and their Polish equivalents.
