HYPOCORISTIC FORMS OF POLISH MALE COMPLEX FIRST NAMES
Abstract
Compound personal names are often reduced by their every-day usage. A part of the compound personal names is formed by saving the morpheme border, one of the two components of the composite falls down, the other one is saved, and another one – in the basic form of the name and the received roots – is a complex from sounds, ending on vowels. The process of reducing can concern the two components of the composed name and can be connected with its own disintegration. To the received hypocoristic roots can be supplemented formants too.
