ON THE ISSUE OF PROPER-NOUN DENOTATION BY PROFESSION, JOB AND TITLE IN MODERN GERMAN

Abstract

The present paper deals with the issue of the German words denoting professions, positions and titles. After a discussion of the problem of the category gender and sex the paper proceeds with the official standards and speech recommendations for using strategies for politcorrectness in denoting persons in the official communication.
