A STUDY OF LANGUAGE ATTITUDES AND THEIR LINKS (BASED ON A NATIONWIDE SURVEY)
Abstract
The present paper comments on the results of correlation analysis between attitudes toward 12 non-standard speech markers. The data for language attitudes have been obtained by a national representative survey held in May 2010. Using the value of the correlation coefficients, 5 groups of language attitudes relevant to the linguistic analysis of the public opinion have been distinguished.
