THE MEETING OF RELIGIONS IN ANDRIC'S STORIES
Abstract
In this paper we analyze the relation between religion (Christianity, Islam and Judaism), their confrontation, and the results of their intersection. Ivo Andric’s narrative products seem ideal because these intersections in his stories can be traced by way of a diachronic understanding of medieval religion (in the stories The Road of Đerzelez Alia, The Bridge on the Žepa, In Musafirhana, Mustafa Madžar) in the time of the annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( The Story of Kmet Siman ) which includes the time of World War II (Buffet „Titanic“).
