LINGUISTIC REPRESENTATION OF THE OPPOSITION OWN VS FOREIGN IN PAISII'S SLAVONIC-BULGARIAN HISTORY
Abstract
In the perception of the world from a Balkan point of view important appears to be the opposition mine–somebody else's. In my research I pursue the aim to show how the categories „mine- somebody else's“ builds the semantic structure of Slavic-Bulgarian History. I prove that what is mine is always sacred even when it is pagan or it is contrary to the approved Christian norms. What is somebody else’s shall always be anti-Bulgarian even when it is Christian. Paisii Hilendarski can be said to have built the unique Bulgarian perception for mine and somebody else’s.
