THE CHIRPAN COPY OF PAISII HILANDARSKI’S HISTORY. MONK HARITON AND HIS DISCIPLES

Abstract

This paper analyzes the archaeographical and palaeographical aspects of the Chirpan copy of Slavonic-Bulgarian History of 1831. This copy contains a revised version of Paisii Hilendarski's History. The scholar identifies the parts copied by monk Hariton from the Rila Monastery and the parts copied by his disciples. She charaterizes the peculiarities of their handwritings.
