BULGARIANS AND THEIR SPEECHES (SUMMIT BY MILEN RUSKOV AND CHICHOVTSI BY IVAN VAZOV)

Abstract

This article puts together the contemporary novel Summit (2011) by Milen Ruskov and a classical short novel by Ivan Vazov. The conceptions about the Bulgarians and about their language are interpreted in the article. It comments on how disunited the nation is, who the creator of the image of the nation is and what the importance of the differences between the “speeches“ within the framework of the “undivided“ Bulgarian language is.
