COMPARATUM ACTUALITY IN LEXICOLOGICALLY REGISTERED COMPARATIVE STRUCTURES (Study of Bulgarian and Modern Greek)
MetadataShow full item record
The object of this study is the comparatum actualization in comparative structures in Bulgarian and Modern Greek. The former are units characterized by a fixed structure and a stable lexical composition, but the possibility of new realia becoming a part of such units, signifies the development of the language. The outdated and unfamiliar is replaced by what is known and valid for current language users. The static character can be found in comparatums of zoological nature which have a leading role in both languages. The reason is that animals stand closest to man and he is the creator of such units.
