FORMATION OF ACTION NOUNS IN THE SPANISH AND THE BULGARIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract

The aim of this research is to carry out contrastive analysis between the Spanish and the Bulgarian language with respect to the formation of action nouns. We will attempt to define the differences and similarities between the two languages subject to comparison and describe the Spanish and Bulgarian suffixes which form nomina actionis. We will direct our attention to the function and meaning of the suffixes; to the phonetic, morphological and semantic changes occurring in the respective nominal derivatives.
