THE FRENCH INFINITIVE AND ITS POSSIBLE EQUIVALENTS IN THE MODERN BULGARIAN LANGUAGE
Abstract
The object of this article is the French infinitive and its possible equivalents in the new Bulgarian language. The infinitive forms, resultative present and present tense, develop the formal and semantic opposition non-posteriority: posteriority within the morphological categories of taxis and conclusion. The number of examples, extracted from fictional texts, are based on similarities and differences between the two language systems.
