THE IMPERFECT IN CONTEMPORARY FRENCH AND BULGARIAN
Abstract
This article provides a comparative analysis of the present state of the imperfect forms having taxis meaning in French and their translation equivalents in Bulgarian. It could be assumed that from a temporal point of point view the imperfect is present tense of the marked taxis grammeme relativity. The morphological category taxis in French is based on the formal semantic opposition relativity (witness and distant) : non-relativity that explicitly expresses an orientation to the statement (the moment of speaking).
