MEDIALITIES IN DIMITRÉ DINEV’S PLAYS
Abstract
The literary works in German of Dimitré Dinev, who was born in Plovdiv in 1968 and emigrated to Austria in 1990, are usually attributed to the paradigm of the literature of migration and are respectively interpreted through that prism. This paper examines the author-specific searches for real-symbolic synthesis in the genre of drama; it pays attention to the insufficiency of the “literature of migration” model in the analysis of Dinev. The topic of research is the mediality of skin and its tattoos in the play “Skin and Sky” and the mediality of the myth of Minos in the play “The Judge’s House”.
