LEXICAL COLLOCATIONS IN THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY CROATIAN TRANSLATIONS OF SELECTED HYMNS OF THE CHURCH

Abstract

The aim of the article is presentation and typology of lexical collocation appearing in the Croatian texts, translations of selected hymns of the church of the eighteenth century occurring in the songbook Cithara octochorda from 1701. Lexical collocations as analytical constructions are not characteristic for poetic style, so their intensity in such texts is smaller. The article is an attempt to indicate the type of collocations with the largest attendance and explanation of the reasons for the phenomenon.
