ABOUT THE TRANSLATION AND TRANSLATION TRANSFORMATIONS IN THE SLOVAK NOVEL “THREE CHESTNUT HORSES” BY MARGITA FIGULI
Abstract
The aim of this study is to performa comparative analysis of the Slovak
novel ”Three chestnut horses“ by Margita Figuli and its translation into
Bulgarian by Sonya Radanova. The research is based on translation
transformations. They are traced and analized, and used as a basis for
characterizing and determining the adequacy of the translation by Sonya
Radanova is in comparison to the original text. Another aim is to determine
trends in the two Slavic languages – Bulgarian and Slovak, as well as to
establish some similarities and differences in the field of different language
levels of the two Slavic languages.
