CORPUS APPROACH IN THE STUDY OF THE LANGUAGE DEVIATIONS IN BULGARIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Abstract
This paper is an attempt to present a comprehensive overview of the
learner corpora as a significant tool in the research on foreign language
acquisition. It aims to show the possibilities of the corpus approach in the study
of language deviations in Bulgarian as a foreign language. Some of the
applications and ways to extract information from error-tagged electronic
corpora are also provided. The paper contains the initial steps of the project for a
learner corpus of Bulgarian as a foreign language.
