DERIVATION IN THE LINGIUSTIC SYSTEMATICS
Abstract
The subject of study in the present work is the location of the wordformation (derivation) in the linguistic levels of the Bulgarian language. The historical review we have done shows that there are three basic lines of its interpretation: as a part of morphology; as a part of lexicology; as an independent (separate) linguistic level. In our opinion, the derivation process analyses a particular linguistic unit (the derivative) and and focuses on the ways and means of its formation , which is the reason for it to have its own place in the system of linguistic levels.
