| dc.description.abstract | The paper takes under scrutiny three textbooks from the Seraphim and Vera Barutchiyski Series as representative of a 1930s German as a foreign language teaching course in Bulgaria. These pioneering German language textbooks which aroused great interest, were created by two prominent Bulgarian teachers.
