In the middle of the 14th century, literary activity revived in Bulgaria. The reform of Patriarch Eufimiy was adopted in the Slavic countries. The cultural and spiritual uplift in the Balkans had an impact on Russian writing. Studying the Holy Trinity Monastery manuscripts, we find that the spelling of the Middle Bulgarian writing was included in the orthography of Russian books. The language of the manuscripts was also changed. In connection with this circumstance, we are talking about a literary movement among the Bulgarians and the Serbs in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, about the ties of the Russians with Athos and Constantinople – the two literary centers, from which powerful influence to Russia came.en_US
