TOPONYMIC COMPONENTS IN BULGARIAN AND SERBIAN PHRASEOLOGY

Abstract

The article presents the Bulgarian and Serbian phrasemes that contain in their structure toponymic components of various nature (horonyms, hydronyms etc.). The phraseological material has been collected from dictionaries of phraseology published after 1990. The toponymic components we have encountered are, in their nature, locally, regionally or globally known. Furthermore, we have been able to determine evaluation connotations – the majority of the samples has proven mainly negative, a smaller part of them – positive or neutral.
