    Abstract
The paper explores some of the potentials of the integrative educational approach in Bulgarian language classes for increasing students’ cognitive activity and mastering key competences – a current topic in recent years when the educational system is oriented towards the competence approach in the teaching and learning process. Searching alternative methods to motivate young people with different interests to acquire serious practical experience, the teacher has to introduce technologies oriented towards the contemporary social context. A methodical development of a co-teaching lesson in Bulgarian and Music is presented as an illustration of how interdisciplinary integration can be successfully applied to build a positive atmosphere in any classroom, thus converting the learning process into an enjoyable practice for both students and teachers.
