The article explores Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, and more specifically how Alice seeks for her self in Wonderland. Two prisms are combined for the purpose: Freud’s dream interpretation and Vladimir Propp’s initiation in the fairy tales. Applied together Alice’s journey in Wonderland is considered as a dream initiation in which she must find her self in order to return back home. The paper focuses on the meeting of Alice and the Caterpillar since this conversation is a crucial part of the initiation path.en_US
