Phraseology is a collection of phraseological expressions in a language. This report aims to compare and analyze the peculiarities of the use of phraseological units in their respective translation from Bulgarian into Turkish. As a center of all human communication, translations create a connection between nationalities and cultures. The main task of a translation is to give the reader an understandable text that has preserved its original meaning. Several examples from Bulgarian plays translated into Turkish by Ismail Ağlagül are analyzed. The author uses various phraseological units and the analysis is focused on whether and to what extent the use of phraseologisms is meaningful and adequate for translation. There is evidence that despite the author's interpretations, the content and the meaning of the text are not changed. It turns out that phraseological units units are an appropriate tool for rendering information through translation.en_US
