PHRASEOLOGICAL PERIPHERAL MODIFIERS FOR THE EXPRESSION OF COMPARATIVITY IN CONTEMPORARY BULGARIAN
Abstract
The article examines the phraseological peripheral modifiers in the
functional-semantic field of comparativity in contemporary Bulgarian. The
approach to linguistic facts is consistent with the achievements of the functionalsemantic
grammar, which seeks to describe all possible means in a language
capable of expressing a meaning. Therefore, as the subject of this text, we define
the functional-semantic field of comparativity in Contemporary Bulgarian.
The study focuses on the analysis of peripheral lexical means, and in
particular of phraseologisms and sustainable comparisons. The classification and
systematization approach is used, and we relied on synchronous description.
In the course of the study, depending on their construction and type,
phraseological units were classified and divided into groups, supported by
examples.
