TYPOLOGY OF THE BILINGUAL PHRASEBOOKS OF THE THIRD QUARTER OF THE 19TH CENTURY

Abstract

This article addresses a currently popular and unexplored topic in Bulgarian linguistics related to the bilingual phrasebooks in the 19th century. The paper deals with bilingual phrasebooks from the third quarter of the 19th century. An attempt is made to analyze the typology of 7 bilingual phrasebooks using G. Levchenko's methodology. The typology is based on the following criteria: the layout of the languages; the organization of the corpus; the object of description; the general structure.
