COMPARISONS WITH ANIMALS IN THE WORKS OF THE SOFIA LITERARY SCHOOL
Abstract
The following report focuses on a topic which has not been studied yet.
We examine comparisons with animals used in the original works of three
authors, representatives of the Sofia Literary School. We analyze the comparisons according to the theory of the conceptual metaphor proposed by G.
Lakoff and M. Johnson. We point out their orthographic, phonetic, lexical
and syntactic features. These features could help us find some similarities or
differences between certain works.
