dc.description.abstractThis article examines the image of the city from the early twentieth century, according to the concept of Oswald Spengler in his work „The Decline of the West“ and the way in which this same city is manifested in the works of Slavic avant-garde, particularly by the followers of Zenit movement. The study aims to show the impact of one of the leading philosophies associated with the crisis of civilization, occurred at the beginning of the last centuryin one of the trendss of the avant-garde, developed on the territory occupied by the southern Slavs.en_US
