dc.description.abstract | During the last few decades of the twentieth century, and also today, in the era of hyperproduction, also the era of freedom/total freedom for children, there is an obvious promotion of the attitude that there are good and better writers for children, and that we are ready to better acknowledge and promote a more modern expression. It is often said that Duško Radović, together with several contemporaries, opened the doors to an upcoming poetics. With a focus of the new, special attention is paid to the phenomenon of fantasy in children’s literature, which has not only imposed itself as a model accompanying modernism, but has also been a certain negation of Montessorian cautiousness when it comes to, for example, fairy tales or the other side of the so-called “functional” literature – knowledgeable and pragmatic. Apart from certain authors dedicated to realism, there is a significant number of writers for children who are “ahead of their time”. First, those are the ones who are ready to dispute the thesis that this literature can equal the so-called human pedagogy due to its didacticism. Although children’s literature is not free from „serving“, it strives to free itself from being too general and being an imposed object. Using intuition and imagination, children and young readers build upon the unidimensionality of a literary text, whereby the imposed fairy tale quality can be relativized. In modern children’s literature, play as a dialogue with the child, is especially popular in the works of Duško Radović, Dragan Lukić, Grozdana Olujić, Ljubivoje Ršumović, Dragomir Djordjević, Mošo Odalović, Uroš Petrović, and many other writers not included in this list, but well-known in our country and the region. | en_US |
