This paper tries to summarize a significant part of the researches on the prose of the Hungarian novelist Adam Bodor, focusing on the critical reception of his only one known novel by the Bulgarian readership – The Sinistra Zone. The task of this text is also an attempt to introduce more specifics about the biographical conditionality of his works, to what extent it is appropriate to rely on the referential reading and whether it does not contradict the author's initial idea and aesthetics.en_US
