dc.description.abstractThe object of the present study are the nouns with the formant -ьнIкъ/ -енIкъ in the Catecheses of St. Cyril of Jerusalem (GIM, Syn. 478). The excerpted material from Son. 478 includes 95 nouns of -ьнIкъ/-енIкъ – 87 simplexes and 8 composites. The examples once again emphasize that in the nouns in the catechisms of St. Cyril of Jerusalem, including simplexes and composites of -ьнIкъ/-енIкъ, illustrate a lexical and word-formation layer which reflects literary norms that are a specific and characteristic part of the activity of the Old Bulgarian writers, as well as in terms of paradigm in the construction of composite foundations established in the Old Bulgarian language word-formation models.en_US
