    Abstract
Borders as an object of study are beginning to play an important role in postmodern political and social theories and cultural studies. In literature, all these aspects of the border can be used for the derivation of an imaginary artistic model of representation. Based on this model, we analyze and compare the similar and distinctive features of the border, as well as its presence as a geographical and political, anthropological, social and cultural marker in the artistic space of the works. In the present report, the object of such an interdisciplinary comparative analysis is the construction of a kind of geopoetic model of border in two literary works: the novel The Farm by the Border by Y. Yovkov and the story East of the West by M. Penkov.
