One of the tasks of computational linguistics is the creation of software and applications to facilitate access to and use of large amounts of information. Natural language processing can create interfaces that allow users to interact more intuitively with data, and to access information by entering queries using their native language. This article provides an overview of the history of information systems with a natural language interface to a database. Existing systems of artificial intelligence present knowledge and reflect the conceptual basis of the organization of human memory as well as its flexibility and visibility. The publication is part of a study devoted to the application of the natural language interface to e-learning.en_US
