The paper is focused on the artistic works inspired by the recent public debates in Poland regarding the country’s past and the difficult Polish-Jewish relations during the World War II, which were initiated by the publications of Jan Tomasz Gross’s “Neighbors” (2000). The texts analyses one of the most highly acclaimed Polish works of art dealing with this topic – Tadeusz Słobodzianek’s play “Our Class” (2009) and examines the interethnic relations between its characters and the depiction of the traumatic past in the play.en_US
