dc.description.abstractThis article discusses the different definitions of the term CONCEPT in Russian and American linguistic literature. Presented are the scientific opinions of the Russian linguists Sternin and Popova on the structure and the content of the concepts, regarding the interpretation field of the concept of anger, present in German and Bulgarian. The article summarizes the main classifications of the concepts in Russian cognitive linguistics. The main concept types are examined, the problems of verbal gaps or lacunas are discussed as well as the difference between meaning and concept and the way in which these two terms are understood. At the end of the article, a scientific definition of the discussed term is proposed.en_US
